Chapter 614: Flesh Puppet! Messenger of Hell
Chapter 614: Flesh Puppet! Messenger of Hell
Lynn had long ago prepared a lengthy, plausible story, and coupled with the assassination scene he had deliberately leaked during his earlier livestream, it would absolutely convince this Mechanical Girl, whose mind wasn’t overly sharp, to accept his explanation.
Lynn had already halted with his group of Little Brothers in front of the Puppet Factory.
"Alice, I’ll leave the rest to you. Same instructions as before: the harder you strike, the more chaos you cause, the greater the access Brother will gain. You don't need to win her trust a hundred percent. I’ll keep creating trouble for you. Once you explain how complicated the situation is now, she will definitely cooperate with you."
After all, for a machine that worshipped absolute order.
After telling her that the Plague Doctors intended to use someone disguised as him to sow discord between them, and to further drive a wedge between the God of All Machines and Sir Aiwen in order to influence the battle, even if the Mechanical Girl refused to believe him outright, she would still fully grasp the urgency of the moment.
Because that plan was truly vicious.
Then have Alice tell her that she saw through this plot, and that’s why she risked exposing herself and hunted down the fake Lynn to try to assassinate him — all to break this conspiracy.
And now.
They were already being pushed to the brink.
If they couldn’t unite and cooperate, not only would they lose their chance, but the God of All Machines and Sir Aiwen outside would also be dragged into danger!Under these circumstances, no matter how proud or headstrong she was, there was no way she wouldn’t cooperate!
Everything was part of the plan.
Lynn smiled and looked up as the massive gate of the Puppet Factory slowly opened, then he led his Little Brothers and stepped inside.
What he had to do now
was seize control of all the puppets inside this factory, making them another trump card against the high-ranking Plague Doctors in the First Chamber!
By then,
when the Mixed Potion's plague broke out, all the puppets would revolt en masse, and coupled with his betrayal from within, the entire Leviathan would be set ablaze!
"Executive, the Doctor has already briefed us on the details. This is the list of all the high-tier puppets our Leviathan has produced over the past few centuries. Please review it."
Inside the Puppet Factory,
the department’s Plague Doctors were all lined up neatly on both sides to welcome Lynn, and the lead supervisor was already holding the prepared list with both hands.
Lynn glanced around, then accepted the list and began flipping through it, and he said slowly,
"How many puppets are currently in existence?"
The Plague Doctor supervisor answered solemnly, "There are 524 puppets in sealed storage. One hundred and thirty are Transcendent-tier puppets, fifty-one are Lord-tier, five are Death-Omen, and excluding the non-combat puppets reserved for research, the remainder are special combat forces below Transcendent."
Lynn's heart stirred.
Even though he already had a deep understanding of the Plague Doctors' foundation, he hadn’t expected them to possess so many high-tier puppets.
And that was only one branch of the Plague Doctor faction.
The Transcendent tier was the stage Miss Puppet had once occupied. The Lord tier was undoubtedly Blood-Robed Madam, the level where his master and the Doll Mistress stood. Above that was the Death-Omen tier occupied by Alice, and beyond that were Monarch and Root!
It was unimaginable how many powerful beings from the Dark World the Plague Doctors had hunted over these centuries!
Knowledge.
That was the power of knowledge.
Just as frail humans could create world-devastating weapons, even mastering something as catastrophic as a nuclear bomb, that alone explained everything.
He understood then.
Unless an individual’s strength rose to transcendent and beyond to become a Root, organizations like this would always outmatch them. If a Root-level Leviathan could be manufactured, then even Monarch-level creations might not be impossible.
"Show me around," Lynn said calmly.
The supervisor thumped his chest, then stepped aside to clear a path and invited Lynn to tour the facility.
He left his Little Brothers waiting at the entrance, and under the supervisor's lead, Lynn strode into the dark depths of the mysterious Puppet Factory.
After only a few steps, Lynn saw one huge flesh vessel after another, standing in formation like ranks along both sides of the path.
Each vessel was filled with viscous liquid, and inside every container a twisted flesh creature lay sealed in silence. Many of these beings looked like conglomerates forcibly cut from different creatures and grotesquely reassembled and sewn together.
Even much of the creatures’ former agony and distortion were frozen on the faces of one puppet after another.
Stepping here felt like walking into a true hell.
"These are all the puppets in Leviathan’s storage. To better control them, puppets above Lord level have had their wills erased either directly or indirectly. Although this greatly reduces their strength, after we absorbed knowledge from the Mechanical Cult, we’ve developed neural link technology that allows remote control of them," the supervisor explained.
"Through trade in puppet technology, we maintain deep cooperation with many Dark World organizations. Many forces are willing to pay dearly to buy powerful combat assets from us to bolster their strength."
Listening to the supervisor, Lynn’s gaze kept searching the nearby puppet vessels.
And as he passed one container, a puppet inside it caught his attention.
[Flesh Puppet · Prototype: Hell Walker]
[Level]: Lord
[Race]: Flesh Golem
[Alignment]: Chaotic Evil
[Combat Ability]: An incomparably powerful creation.
[Description]: The original prototype of the Flesh Puppet, a monster stitched together by Doctor 315 using top-tier flesh modification techniques. It can evolve stronger combat power by continuously devouring and integrating bio-armament. Its original will has been shattered; it has now degenerated into an extremely formidable war engine.
Lynn’s pupils constricted slightly.
"Have you ever traded with the Demonkin Association? This puppet looks familiar," Lynn asked with narrowed eyes and a faint smile.
The supervisor stopped, turned, and looked at the puppet in the container before Lynn. A smile appeared on the aged face as he said,
"Of course. Our Puppet Factory has covert cooperation with many major organizations, but exactly who we trade with is only known to the higher-ups. We only handle production and follow orders. But without a doubt, anything we sell is among the best work our factory produces."
So that was it.
He would never have imagined that the Demonkin Association’s most advanced flesh creations secretly involved the Plague Doctors as well.
